We’re excited to announce that NEW Veeam Backup for AWS v6 and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure v5 are now available.
What's new in Veeam Backup for AWS and Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure?
These releases offer data integrity through WORM states via Amazon S3 Object Lock and Immutable Backup for Azure Blob Storage, plus enterprise enhancements for AWS and Azure environments.
Veeam Backup for AWS
Veeam Backup for AWS delivers native, policy-based protection for reliable recovery from accidental deletion, ransomware, and other data loss scenarios for Amazon EC2, RDS, EFS and VPC data. An API-first approach, immutable backups and full- and file-level restores ensure resilient protection that’s easy and cost-optimised, freeing up time and resources for strategic IT priorities.
What's new in Veeam Backup for AWS v6?
- Users can now store backups in immutable Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) storage.
- Scalability improvements to protect large-scale AWS environments with a single appliance.
- Use GP3 disks as a configuration for the Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) volumes of the appliance.
- Oracle databases which have been configured as a multi-tenant container within Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) are now supported.
- Service providers or enterprise customers acting as a provider to internal departments can now deploy, configure, update and manage their Veeam Backup for AWS appliances via the Veeam Service Provider Console (VSPC) UI.
- Modern authentication mechanism for a mail server.
