Cyber-Attacks Today
Cyber-attacks are more frequent and complex, and regulations are stricter, requiring more security controls to comply. Now is a better time than ever to ensure you have everything in place for multi-layered protection and compliance.
The UK Government highlights the following stats they found in their annual survey:
-
Half of businesses (50%) and around a third of charities (32%) report having experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months.
-
By far the most common type of breach or attack is phishing (84% of businesses and 83% of charities). This is followed, to a much lesser extent, by others impersonating organisations in emails or online (35% of businesses and 37% of charities) and then viruses or other malware (17% of businesses and 14% of charities).
-
Among those identifying any breaches or attacks, we estimate the single most disruptive breach from the last 12 months cost each business, of any size, an average of approximately £1,205. For medium and large businesses, this was approximately £10,830. For charities, it was approximately £460.
ESET Protect Bundles
Moving up to/considering one of the higher ESET Protect Bundles ensures you have additional layers of protection in place to prevent cyber-attacks. It also helps with consolidating more of your security into fewer platforms to learn, manage and pay for.

We recommend you consider one of the top three more comprehensive bundles to enhance your protection:
- With ESET PROTECT Complete, you receive cloud application security that is backed by multi-layered endpoint protection for your business, adding an extra layer of security to your Microsoft 365 cloud email and OneDrive.
- With ESET PROTECT Enterprise, you benefit from powerful malware, exploit and ransomware prevention augmented by ESET EDR and Cloud Sandbox Analysis. Plus, integrated and managed from a single pane of glass to provide full visibility into your network.
- ESET Protect Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Premium Support services provide organisations with increased visibility into their computers and networks to ensure that emerging threats, careless behaviour by employees or unwanted applications do not put their profits or reputations at risk. ESET experts can provide quick analysis and remediation of any security issue in the network. The service also incorporates advanced threat detection technology that prevents new, never-before-seen types of threats and a full-disk encryption capability for enhanced data protection.
Cyber Security Frameworks and Compliance
This is something to consider if you’re striving for Cyber Essentials, Cyber Insurance, or some other security framework. Plus, it helps to consolidate your security controls into fewer platforms.
