Microsoft introduces Microsoft 365 E7
News|10 March 2026

Microsoft has unveiled a new suite designed to help you work with AI across your business – not just in isolated teams or pilots.
Microsoft 365 E7 launches on 1 May 2026, offering a new tier that lets you empower your whole team with Copilot and AI agents securely and at scale.
What’s new with Microsoft 365 E7?
Microsoft is introducing this as part of its “Frontier Transformation”, including a host of new Copilot updates marking wave three of Microsoft 365 Copilot. In line with these wider updates, E7 has been dubbed the “Frontier Suite”, blending AI intelligence with trusted security tools, delivered as a single, governed platform.
Microsoft 365 E7 builds on the E5 security and compliance foundation, giving you everything you need to protect and govern your agents - Defender, Microsoft Entra Suite, Purview and Intune. Combining this with an integrated AI stack, delivered as a single, governed platform.
Microsoft 365 E7 includes everything you get in Microsoft 365 E5, plus:
- Microsoft 365 Copilot: AI embedded into the tools your team use every day, with work context
- Microsoft Entra Suite: Advanced identity, network access, and governance controls
- Agent 365: Centralised governance, visibility, and control for your AI agents
What is Microsoft Agent 365?

Microsoft Agent 365 is one of the major inclusions in Microsoft 365 E7, also making its debut on 1 May 2026. This is the control panel for your agents, giving you a single pane of glass to manage agents, users and AI usage across your business – helping you scale with AI while staying secure, compliant and in full control.
Designed to feel familiar to anyone used to Microsoft admin experiences, Agent 365 helps you move from pilot projects to enterprise-scale operations without losing momentum.
Why choose Microsoft 365 E7?

At $99/user/month, E7 reduces the complexity and cost of bringing advanced AI capabilities to your organisation. It’s a package designed for businesses at the forefront of AI adoption, including everything you need to work with AI while ensuring you stay secure, compliant, and in control of your users and agents.
If you’re currently buying Microsoft 365 E5, Entra and Microsoft 365 Copilot, it could be worth exploring the cost savings available to you with the release of E7.
