Grey Matter Finishes 3rd in Acronis Football Event

Around ten lucky members from the Grey Matter team recently participated in the Acronis Play on the Pitch event held at Reading Football Club. For some it was the thrill of a lifetime and offered a chance to play on the same pitch as such names as Andy Carrol and Thomas Ince.
The question on everybody’s mind was whether they could be as effective on the pitch as they are off it? Eager to test their skills, our team of enthusiastic tech professionals accepted the invitation and produced flashes of what would be difficult to dismiss as anything other than footballing brilliance.
The meticulously maintained grounds, the towering grandstands and the echoes of past cheers all contributed to the aura of the stadium. The surroundings inspired the team and increased the determination to win against other Acronis partners, all vying for the prestigious title of Acronis #CyberFit Champions.
Our team managed to secure a semi-final spot which sadly also saw the end of the road for Team Grey Matter, losing 1-0 to round the day off. Whilst they didn’t win the crown, they left the stadium with heads held high and the event will forever hold a special place in their hearts. An event that served as a reminder that sometimes, amid the fast-paced world of technology, it’s important to take a moment, embrace passions, and relish the joy of play.
