Sophos acquires machine learning vendor Barricade

Network and endpoint security company Sophos has acquired Barricade, a start-up company that has a powerful behavioural-based analytics engine built around machine learning techniques. The acquisition will help to strengthen Sophos’ synchronised security capabilities and enhance the ability to identify malicious or suspicious behaviour. The detecion technologies will enable Sophos to keep up with the growth of complex and sophisticated attack patterns.
