HERE announces new JavaScript API 3.1
News|16 July 2019
A number of new features and capabilities are delivered in the new version 3.1 of the HERE JavaScript API.
The maps displayed are now powered by vector tiles which means they are capable of tilt and rotate, and there are no fixed zoom levels. As well, 3D extruded buildings are now available to be displayed.
The maps are customisable, and you can apply any style to any feature of the map. Developers can make these changes even at runtime.
Worth noting, the JavaScript API 3.1 uses a new type of API key, so current HERE users will need to access their projects on the developer portal to create the new key.
