TechSmith release Snagit 2018
News|by Leanne Bevan|27 October 2017
The latest version of the screen capture and image editing creative tools provides even more ways to communicate visually.
The ability to quickly communicate complex ideas and processes has been made even easier and more comprehensive. Key new features include:
- Grab Text pulls out the text from a screen capture or file. You can then paste it into another document for edits, enabling you to work faster, rather than wasting time with endless typing.
- Smart Move automatically allows you to make objects in your screen captures movable. Rearrange buttons, delete text, and edit other elements within your screenshots.
- Text Replace: Snagit can identity the text in your screenshots for quick editing, so that you edit the font, colors, and size of the text in your screenshots, without affecting the look and feel.
Snagit is a great tool to create content such as how-to guides, proof of executions, graphic edits, annotated map images, and a way to document processes.
Additional improvements include desktop video features updates for a smoother recording and more professional feel, as well as better webcam capture quality and improved stability, all whilst using less CPU resources.
Snagit 2018 also comes with a version number, making it easier for users to know what version they are on. Previously a number was used.
