Stay Compliant with Worker Protection Act 2024 with KnowBe4
News|by Leanne Bevan|18 November 2024
What is the new worker protection legislation?
On 26 October 2024, the UK Government introduced The Worker Protection Act 2024. This is an amendment to the Equality Act of 2010. Employers are now required to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment from taking place. This essentially means implementing a cultural change. The new legislation aims to create a safer environment for employees. It also protects organisations from tribunals.
Guidance and support
The Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service (Acas) and the Equality and Human Rights Commission have guidance for organisations; they provide support in developing plans and policies to support this initiative. For instance, information on behaviours to address, and how to handle complaints.
How KnowBe4 can help you comply with the Work Protection Act 2024
