New Visual Studio Cloud subscriptions
News|4 January 2018
Microsoft Visual Studio Professional and Visual Studio Enterprise are now available as monthly or annual Cloud Subscriptions. For developers who access the cloud during dev/test, these subscriptions provide the full developer tools, cloud services, software, support, and training, with the added benefits of:
- Flexible, short term contract
- Cost effective monthly or annual billing
- First access to the latest version releases
- Simplified licence management
- With support from Grey Matter
Visual Studio standard MSDN subscriptions provide perpetual use rights for the Visual Studio IDE, while Visual Studio annual and monthly Cloud Subscriptions provide use rights for the IDE only through the duration of the subscription.
Monthly subscriptions include the Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise IDE, access to Visual Studio Team Services with the optional Test Manager extension (for VS Enterprise subscriptions), and Team Foundation Server client access licence.
Annual subscriptions add benefits equivalent to those currently offered through Visual Studio standard MSDN subscriptions, including technical support incidents, Azure credits, Pluralsight training, access to dev/test software, a Windows developer account, Office ProPlus, an Office 365 developer subscription, Power BI Pro, and partner offers, depending on the subscription level.
