Blog|by Leanne Bevan|18 November 2019

Grey Matter and Intel Software are teaming up to host a software development workshop focused on HPC and AI, in London on 10-11 December.
The event is for Software Developers, Software Architects, Quants, Data Scientists, R&D Directors and CxOs to understand how Intel technologies will impact the future of Software Development, High-Performance Computing, Machine Learning, and Computational Finance.
Enjoy the view from Level 39 in Canary Wharf! This is the 7th event organised by Grey Matter in close collaboration with Intel Software. The two days are packed with sessions presented by Intel senior engineers and technical experts from industry partners.
Expect very interesting sessions by Wilfried Kirschenmann, PhD from ANEO, Laurent Plagne and François Févotte from TriScale Innov as well as NAG (Numerical Algorithms Group) and Cédric Andreolli & Evgueny Kharchenko from Intel!
The two days are split as follows:
DAY 1: HPC software development For Financial Services
You will learn about the latest technologies from Intel, including the Intel® Xeon processors, the Intel® GPU architecture as well as other specialised processors and FPGA systems, and the Intel® Software Development Products (including Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2020). Experts will present techniques, best practices and solutions for code optimisation, parallel programming and performance maximisation, providing relevant and actionable information.
DAY 2: INTEL® oneAPI workshop
The second day is entirely focused on the upcoming Intel® oneAPI project and toolkit for cross-architecture software development and will include hands-on sessions with Intel® Data-Parallel C++ in the DevCloud.
Last but not least there will be plenty of opportunities to meet and network with peers from the industry and with experts and leaders from Intel.
