Grey Matter helps Nutrient move from Azure pay-as-you-go
to CSP for more flexibility and cost savings

Nutrient (formerly Muhimbi), a PSPDFKit company, is a global leader in automatic PDF conversion. Trusted by enterprises, their software offers a comprehensive suite of PDF tools for SharePoint and Power Automate, featuring an intuitive online app.
The challenge
Nutrient needed an easier way to manage Azure subscriptions and usage. When acquired by PSPDFKit in 2022 the need for external support to deliver the project became even more urgent.
Our solution
Our services division, Climb Global Services (CGS), carried out this project. CGS has a team of Azure accredited engineers and architects.
CGS began by discussing the requirements, creating a Statement of Works, and outlining the responsibilities for both CGS and Nutrient, so that there was a clear understanding from both sides.
Our Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer moved all Nutrients’s Pay-as-You-Go (PAYG) moveable resources to a new CSP Subscription. This involved some downtime as several of their app services have SSL Certificates attached to them, that needed to be unattached before moving and re-attached once they had been moved.
The downtime was limited to the weekend dates as agreed with Nutrient and all non-service impacting actions took place on a Friday. Following this, the remainder of the resources were moved on a per Resource Group basis.
In addition, some of the technical team from Nutrient attended our yearly ISV Partner Day event.
It's all in the results
There was very little downtime during the project, and when there was, it was outside of normal office hours, meaning employees and customers were not affected by the project.
Nutrient now has more control and flexibility over their Azure subscriptions.
By attending Tech Summit, our annual partner event, Nutrient team members have learned more about Azure (both technical and commercial aspects) and how we can support them further with Microsoft licensing, support, and other solutions.
