HD Clinical deliver digital clinical solutions to improve healthcare and patient outcomes around the world, joining up healthcare organisations and hospital departments to improve the patient experience.
Objective
The opportunity arose to tender to be the sole provider of an Endoscopy Reporting System (ERS) to NHS Scotland. Already one of three providers supplying NHS Scotland, HD Clinical decided to respond to the tender to support their growth plans.
Solution
Grey Matter is a long-term partner of HD Clinical, acting as their Cloud Solution Provider to support the delivery of their cloud-based application to their NHS and private customers.
When the opportunity to respond to NHS Scotland’s tender emerged, HD Clinical enlisted Grey Matter’s technical and commercial expertise to help them win it. With an eight-week deadline, speed and accuracy were important.
Some of NHS Scotland’s ERS was nearing end of support, and there were some challenges with system interfaces, reporting issues and functionality. NHS Scotland also needed electronic Cystoscopy reporting capabilities
Together with their technical services division Climb Global Services, Grey Matter designed several Azure models to support the delivery of HD Clinical’s ERS to NHS Scotland. The models enabled HD Clinical to deliver on the key capabilities and compliance requirements set out in the tender document.
HD Clinical was able to lean on Climb Global Services' experience writing and presenting tenders. Climb Global Services was also able to help respond to specific tender questions, providing accurate technical detail around Azure disaster recovery and resilience, and attend the tender presentation call to answer questions.
Outcomes
With Grey Matter and Climb global services' support, HD Clinical was able to successfully tender to provide the ERS for NHS Scotland against two other providers.
The resulting business has allowed HD Clinical to scale their business, increase their headcount, and give them the capacity they need to submit an additional tender for the Health Service Executive in Ireland.
