Required action for Indirect Resellers
News|13 September 2019
Microsoft is changing their Partner and Customer Agreements. There are some mandatory actions that partners need to take in order to continue transacting as an Indirect Reseller. All affected Grey Matter partners have been informed and have received updated contracts.
Microsoft Partner Agreement Acceptance
Microsoft partners are required to accept the Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) before 31 January 2020 in order to continue transacting through the CSP program. This is an agreement with Microsoft and it needs to be completed on Partner Center. We have created a walkthrough document which can be found here, although if you require any specific support with this process please get in touch.
Grey Matter Indirect CSP Agreement
All Indirect Resellers will have also completed a contract with Grey Matter upon onboarding to the CSP program. As there are changes to our agreement with Microsoft, we have also streamlined our contract with partners. The terms in this new agreement are flow down terms from our agreement with Microsoft, along with standard protective terms for both parties. It is mandatory that all partners complete this agreement to continue transacting as a CSP Indirect Reseller with Grey Matter.
Customer Contracts
It is important that Indirect Resellers ensure customer acceptance of the Microsoft Customer Agreement. New functionality is coming to the Microsoft Partner Center in early 2020 that will allow customers to accept the agreement through an authenticated Microsoft portal, which will simplify the process if partners do not carry their own contracts with customers. Alternatively, you can download a copy of the agreement here and build it into your agreements (currently in preview). This new agreement will be available 1 October 2019, in the meantime you can review our FAQ document here.
