NEW Enhanced Plan Management in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud
News|by Leanne Bevan|29 May 2024
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud 24.04 is here
Acronis has enhanced its plan functionality for MSPs and IT administrators to streamline processes.
What’s new in Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud?
Protection plan templates
Three revamped protection plan templates are now available to meet security and data protection needs. These templates save time and include Acronis’ recommendations. The tiered service structures also align well with typical MSP service packaging making scalability easy.

Monitoring plan templates
There are now four monitoring plan templates that streamline the setup and deployment of monitoring and cater to different operating systems and device types:
- Recommended for Windows: Tailored for Windows workstations
- Recommended for macOS: Designed for macOS machines
- Recommended for servers: Suited for Windows servers
- Basic monitoring: Covers three essential metrics
Remote management plan templates
The preconfigured remote management plan uses RDP and Acronis’ secure, high-performance NEAR protocol. This simplifies remote support tool management.
“Default” and “favourite” properties for plans
To enhance the navigation and management of plans, Acronis has introduced “default” and “favourite” properties. This speeds up the setup processes and reduces manual errors during device registration by automatically preselecting plans and prioritising favourites at the top of the plans lists.
Apply plans during workload registration
The device registration wizard now integrates the application of protection, monitoring and remote management plans. This ensures that all registered workloads are immediately protected, simplifying management and reducing potential errors.
Apply partially compatible plans on workloads
This new functionality allows for the application of plans even if not all modules are compatible with the workload. Incompatible modules are disabled, while compatible ones remain active, ensuring continuous protection without manual adjustments.

Location Intelligence as application infrastructure
Location intelligence is no longer a feature bolted onto asset‑centric platforms. In 2026, it’s core application infrastructure. As asset tracking moves beyond logistics into regulated, distributed and high‑value environments, software teams need location intelligence that delivers real‑world context, not just coordinates. This shift is redefining how modern applications manage risk, automation and scale.
