Microsoft Transitions Enterprise Agreements: Embrace CSP for the Future
News|by Alanna|7 January 2025
As we begin 2025, Microsoft will inform “a small percentage” of businesses with cloud Enterprise Agreements (EA) in direct markets that they will no longer be able to renew under the existing Enterprise Agreement framework.
In its place, enterprise customers will have the option to move to a Microsoft Customer Agreement for enterprise (MCA-E) – dubbed the “digital evolution” of the traditional EA. Or, find a cloud solution provider (CSP).
Indirect agreements remain unchanged for now.
Microsoft Customer Agreement for Enterprise (MCA-E)
Enterprise and SMC customers who want to maintain a direct purchase relationship with Microsoft and manage their own per-user purchases are recommended to take the MCA-E route at renewal. This will offer the most streamlined solution with minimal disruption.
Cloud Solution Provider (CSP)
SMC customers who want to prioritise access to value-added services and support are recommended to find a CSP – like the team here at Grey Matter – to partner with.
