JetBrains has unveiled a significant update for its enterprise suite; IDE Services is now available as a cloud-based solution. IDE Services Cloud aims to enhance developer productivity by simplifying license management, improving security, and providing seamless scalability.
What's included in the IDE Services Cloud?
- License Vault: Efficiently manage IDE licences with pay-as-you-go options and floating mode for licence reassignment.
- IDE Provisioner: Securely manage IDE and plugin distribution, ensuring compliance and centralisation.
- AI Enterprise: Control JetBrains AI Assistant usage with customisable settings and integration with company API keys.
- Code With Me Enterprise: Facilitate secure, real-time collaborative programming sessions within organisations.
JetBrains has partnered with AWS to ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of IDE Services Cloud. The platform’s enterprise-grade security and potential to boost development team productivity.

Floating License Server EOL
In conjunction with this release, JetBrains announced the end-of-life for the Floating License Server. You must transition to License Vault by 31 December 2025 to continue utilising floating licensing.
