Highlights from HERE Directions and Partner Day Chicago
News|by Gabrielle Alvear|16 May 2025
This month, we had the incredible opportunity to attend and present at HERE Directions and HERE Partner Day Chicago. It was a dynamic event of partners, innovators, and thought leaders shaping the future of location technology with their use of HERE Technologies in their various applications.
The event showcased the strength and momentum that comes from a diverse, engaged partner ecosystem. Our team also had the opportunity to present on two panel discussion during HERE’s Partner Day.
Scaling Success: How Diverse Partners Drive Revenue
COO, Matthew Whitton, took the stage alongside other C-suite partners to delve into how a diverse partner ecosystem can unlock new revenue streams, better support clients, and accelerate innovation. He shared real-world examples on how key partnerships lead to broader market reach, stronger customer relationships, and more resilient go-to-market strategies.
Mathew’s insights underscored a key theme of the day: that success in today’s channel environment is not about going it alone, but about scaling together—through shared vision, mutual investment, and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
Exploring MDF Journeys to Drive Pipeline & Growth
Marketing Development Funds (MDF) are more than just budgets – they’re strategic tools and a benefit of being part of HERE’s Partner Program.
Our Marketing Manager, Gabrielle Alvear, shared her insights on how to leverage these funds to build pipeline, amplify brand presence, and drive measurable growth. She emphasized the importance of alignment with you’re HERE Partner Manager, accountability, and creativity in MDF execution, encouraging partners in the room to enroll in the Partner Program to take advantage of this level of support.

Key Takeaways from the event
- Collaboration is the catalyst: We noticed that the most impactful and successful stories were born from close partner collaboration. The event highlighted how HERE and its partners are co-creating solutions that solve real-world challenges from logistics optimisation to smart city planning.
- Data is the differentiator: Location intelligence continues to be a game-changer but in a presentation conducted by an IDC representative, we were shocked to find that only a small percentage of businesses tap into location data. The good news is that once people uncovered the power of location insights, they increased their adoption and application of location data by 4x to make smarter business decisions.
- Partners are the powerhouse: Whether you’re a small business or a global enterprise, the partner ecosystem is where transformation happens. The energy and insights shared during Partner Day reaffirmed that we’re stronger – and more successful – when we partner together.

We left HERE Partner Day Chicago inspired and energized by all the conversations, connections, and shared vision for the future.
