Delphi Celebrates 26th Anniversary
Blog|by Leanne Bevan|16 February 2021

Delphi began life back in 1995, and what a journey it’s been. Now celebrating its 26th anniversary, Delphi, despite being an older language, can still compete with the new younger languages on the block.
Delphi
Delphi is a powerful Object Pascal IDE and component library for Windows 10, Mac, mobile and IoT app development. Developers can create cool apps that are natively compiled.
The VCL framework for Windows and FireMonkey (FMX) visual framework can be used for cross-platform UIs.
Here’s what some of our customers have to say about Delphi:
“Delphi has been the key development tool we have used to create data-driven applications for our business and our suppliers. It has been critical to the success of our company.”Adam Brett, Company Director, Fullwell Mill Ltd.
“Delphi has enabled us to create a high quality multi-featured cross-platform application from a single tool. Using the Delphi IDE and Pascal language is great fun.” Simon Hooper, CEO, Productive Technology Limited.
Use cases
Here is how some people are using Delphi to create some awesome applications:
Idle Western is a Wild West-style idle ranch mobile game.
According to the developer “This game is developed with Delphi 10.4.1- iOS SDK 14.3, still under development and open beta now. We are collecting user feedback and bugs. Reached 57.000 Unique users with many kinds of Device Type and iOS version. I think this is important data for Delphi cross platform stability. For technical information: We didn’t use any game engine, this is a pure FMX 2D sprite-based game. We used Blender to render sprites and TBitmapAnimation to run these sprites. OrangeUI components for UI items. JVESuite components for Admob monetise.” The game looks great!

E-Shimb is a foreign exchange management automation system.

Wise Eyes is a universal reporting tool to enable organisations of all sizes to quickly and easily see information within their data.

Native performance – why it still wins in a cross-platform world
Cross-platform development has never been stronger. Modern frameworks let teams ship applications across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android from a shared codebase – faster, leaner and with fewer moving parts. But when performance is part of the product, portability alone isn’t enough. If...
Location Intelligence as application infrastructure
Location intelligence is no longer a feature bolted onto asset‑centric platforms. In 2026, it’s core application infrastructure. As asset tracking moves beyond logistics into regulated, distributed and high‑value environments, software teams need location intelligence that delivers real‑world context, not just coordinates. This shift is redefining how modern applications manage risk, automation and scale.
