Who you'll be listening to
Our host for this episode is Sam Barnes, one of our Azure Solution Specialists. Sam has worked alongside businesses of many verticals. Helping them make sense of their Microsoft licensing needs and understand how to modernise and adopt Azure in accordance with Microsoft best practice. His biggest area of focus has been addressing the need for constant cloud cost optimisation in balance with other areas of architectural best practice like security and performance.
Our guest is Richard Fennell - CTO of the Black Marble Ltd, a Microsoft Gold Partner based in the North of England. Black Marble specialises in Integration projects using the Azure/Microsoft stack. As CTO, he's responsible for the delivery of systems and tools. All Black Marble’s development activity is underpinned by Azure DevOps and GitHub using an agile process model. Richard's an MVP for Developer Technologies/DevOps an ALM Ranger, a Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng. You'll likely see Richard as a presenter at community events in the UK and Ireland (and the rest of the world given a chance) where his most common subjects are DevOps, software testing and the development process.
