ESET Launches AI Advisor to Enhance Threat Detection and Response
News|by Leanne Bevan|29 May 2024
One of our cyber security partners, ESET has unveiled its latest innovation: ESET AI Advisor. This generative AI-based cyber security assistant transforms incident response and interactive risk analysis, providing security analysts with powerful tools to combat cyber threats.
Bridging the Cyber Security Skills Gap
This tool addresses a critical challenge faced by organisations worldwide: the cyber security skills gap. With this new solution, security analysts of all skill levels can conduct interactive risk identification, analysis, and response capabilities. The user-friendly interface ensures that even less experienced IT and security professionals can make sense of sophisticated threat data.
Key Features and Benefits
- In-Depth Analysis: Unlike other generative AI assistants that focus on soft features like administration or device management, the ESET AI Advisor seamlessly integrates into the day-to-day operations of security analysts. It provides detailed incident data and offers SOC team-level advisory, making it a game-changer for companies with limited IT resources.
- Threat Identification and Analysis: Leveraging over two decades of ESET’s expertise in AI-driven endpoint protection, the ESET AI Advisor identifies and analyzes potential malware threats. It provides intuitive insights into their behaviour and impact, helping organisations stay ahead of cyber adversaries.
- Phishing Prevention: The ESET AI Advisor assists in recognizing phishing attempts and advises users on how to avoid falling victim to fraudulent emails or websites. By monitoring network traffic, it can also flag unusual or suspicious behaviour, enabling security teams to take appropriate action.
- Automated Tasks: The AI Advisor automates repetitive processes such as data collection, extraction, and basic threat detection. This allows security teams to focus on more strategic initiatives.
- ESET Threat Intelligence Integration: Researchers can analyse vast quantities of unique APT reports and stay informed about the latest developments in the world of cyber threats.
Who Can Use ESET AI Advisor
- ESET AI Advisor is included in the ESET PROTECT MDR Ultimate tier for free.
- ESET AI Advisor is also available to all EDRU (ESET Detection and Response Ultimate) customers until 31 December 2024, as a bonus. The number of queries is limited to 20 per day.
- Additionally, ESET Threat Intelligence (ETI) will have chatbot functionalities. ESET AI Advisor will help researchers analyze vast quantities of unique APT reports and understand the latest developments in the world of cyber threats and is included for free in the highest Threat Intelligence tier – APT Reports PREMIUM.
