Developer stories: Optiyol – Optimising logistics with AI and end-to-end visibility
Podcast|18 June 2026

In this episode of Grey Matter Talks Tech, Shaun Baker is joined by Optiyol Co-Founder Ozan Gosbazi to discuss how advanced optimisation technology is reshaping logistics. They explore the shift from manual route planning to intelligent, data-driven systems that balance cost, efficiency and customer service, while covering both planning and real-time execution.
The conversation highlights the importance of reliable cloud and mapping technologies like HERE Technologies, as well as the growing role of AI in learning from real-world delivery data to continuously improve performance. Ozan also shares insights into emerging trends, including electric vehicles, autonomous trucks, and conversational interfaces, all set to transform the future of supply chain operations.
About our guest - Ozan Gözbaşı
Ozan Gözbaşı is the Co-Founder and CEO of Optiyol, a transportation optimisation company serving food and beverage companies, grocery chains, retailers, and logistics service providers. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and an M.S. in Operations Research from Georgia Tech, and brings more than 15 years of experience applying optimisation and decision science to real-world supply chain challenges. Before founding Optiyol, he worked as an Algorithm Engineer at SmartOps (acquired by SAP), developing enterprise software for inventory planning and optimisation. He founded Optiyol on the belief that most logistics operations leave significant efficiency untapped, and that the greatest opportunities lie in bridging the gap between optimisation theory and operational reality.
