Get Your Upgrade Plan Ready for Office 2007 End of Life
News|5 October 2017
The typical support lifecycle of any Microsoft product is 10 years and on 10 October 2017, Office 2007 will reach End of Life.
What will this mean for you?
If you currently work with Office 2007 you’ll no longer receive support from Microsoft in terms of technical support for issues, bug fixes and security fixes for vulnerabilities.
That’s not all. As of 31 October 2017, Outlook 2007 will no longer be able to connect to Office 365 mailboxes. If you use Outlook 2007 together with Office 365 this means you won’t be able to send or receive mail.
Next steps?
As Microsoft withdraws its support services from Office 2007, this will leave your business open to security threats, and could result in a loss of a productive and efficient digital working environment.
Preparing an upgrade plan will ensure that your business is ready for Office 2007 End of Life with no adverse effect to the everyday running of your operations. Options include upgrading to Office 2010, Office 2013, Office 2016 and Office 365.
