PaperCut MF and NG 16.3 are released
News|by Leanne Bevan|28 September 2016
The new updates come with many enhancements to the print management solutions, particularly for users of Konica Minolta devices.
PaperCut MF for Konica Minolta is easy to use and install, and includes many features that will reduce your waste and secure your sensitive documents. The new preconfigured Scan Actions feature ensures that document scanning is secure on Konica Minolta bizhib devices.
The Managed and secure Integrated Scanning feature adds to the Secure Print Release functionality of Find-Me printing, device tracking, and account allocation embedded on Konica Minolta bizhub and bizhub pro devices.
PaperCut MF’s new interface for Konica Minolta bizhub Multifunction Devices enables you to have a consistent and easy experience when using the solution.
PaperCut MF now supports the HID Omnikey 5427 CK (AU-205H) card reader in keyboard wedge mode for Konica Minolta. The card reader can now be configured in either CCID or keyboard wedge mode and produce the same card number output for existing deployments. For example, you could have RFID card readers in CCID mode, and install new Konica Minolta devices and then decide to use AU-205H card reader in keyboard wedge mode.
To make diagnostics easier, the information under the About tab has been enhanced to include details of the operating system, server specifications, and to show whether you are using an internal or external database. You will no longer need to go to the server.log file to find out the specs or server.properties to see whether you are using internal or external databases.
