Grey Matter Secures 2nd Place in Regions Biggest E-Sports Festival
News|by Alanna|6 June 2023
Grey Matter has taken part in the biggest Esports tournament of its kind in the South West. The Rocket League tournament hosted at Exeter College, saw more than 30 corporate teams competing against each other, with Timewade of Exeter pipping Grey Matter to the top spot.
Alongside the gaming, attendees took part in an industry roundtable discussing the future of the industry in the South West and an interactive cyber escape room run by the Police SW Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
Sam Avery, Senior Account Manager here at Grey Matter, had this to say about the event:
“Esports has been largely under publicised in the UK, so it’s great to see events like this become more common. Esports have massively helped myself interact with colleagues across the business and our shared love of gaming has improved our relationships and helped our teams go from strength to strength.”
It’s safe to say we can’t wait to see what Rocket League 2024 will bring!
