Grey Matter chosen as a selected reseller by Heimdal Security
News|by Leanne Bevan|16 August 2021
Grey Matter is always keeping an eye on new technologies and solutions that are emerging and making waves in the market. This is to make sure that our customers have the best and the latest tools. For instance, we continually expand our security solutions; we are well aware that securing applications and company data is becoming more complex, and that each customer has different requirements.
We are very happy to announce that Heimdal Security has chosen us as one of their reseller partners for the UK and Ireland.
About Heimdal
Heimdal Security is a cybersecurity company with headquarters based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They provide a multi-layered security suite that combines threat prevention, endpoint rights management, antivirus and email security. Together they secure customers against cyberattacks and keep critical information and intellectual property safe.
Heimdal has been providing proactive security since 2014 and was built by ethical hackers to defend against threat actors. In fact, the team who built their core product were the first non-U.S. team to win the Las Vegas Defcon Hacking Championships. They took that intelligence and used it to track down the malware responsible for Cryptolocker.
Heimdal Security has the market-leading products in Threat Prevention. Their Threat Intelligence product is praised by the FBI and endorsed by the Danish Cybercrime Police. They were recently awarded Anti-Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Solution of the Year 2020 at the Computer Security Awards last year.
About the partnership
We see Heimdal Security as a very good fit for our SMB customers looking for alternatives to traditional firewalls and on-premises security solutions. Heimdal offers affordable patch and asset management and network threat prevention solutions that layer the security on the endpoint side in place of some of the traditional on-premises methods.
Regarding the new partnership, Heimdal’s Channel Sales Manager, Nicola Sloan said: “We’re excited to work with Grey Matter and have selected them as a channel partner based on their commitment to helping tech-led companies achieve their goals. We are confident that their team of knowledgeable security specialists will help educate potential customers in how to increase their layers of security with our unique, proactive, scalable products.”
“We are excited to be chosen as a selected reseller by Heimdal, their current product range will not only complement any business moving from on-premise managed to cloud-based solutions, Heimdal can enhance what they may already be using to protect their business and provide us with an ‘emerging’ security vendor in next-generation endpoint protection,” said Scott Harrison, Grey Matter’s security licensing expert.

Location Intelligence as application infrastructure
Location intelligence is no longer a feature bolted onto asset‑centric platforms. In 2026, it’s core application infrastructure. As asset tracking moves beyond logistics into regulated, distributed and high‑value environments, software teams need location intelligence that delivers real‑world context, not just coordinates. This shift is redefining how modern applications manage risk, automation and scale.
