The event may be over, but you can still access all the sessions from the day. We’ve created a content hub on this page with links to the videos so you can watch at your leisure and share with colleagues and friends.

These sessions are just a tiny taster of the in-person event which will be hosted in Reading, Wednesday 14 October 2020.

Taking the same format as last year’s event, you’ll be able to follow three different tracks of content throughout the day: Developer, Platform and Business. That means 15+ sessions of content plus additional sponsor sessions and lunchtime roundtables. It will be an action-packed day.

10:55 – 11:40 BST Implementing Azure DevOps for continuous delivery and automation – April Edwards, Microsoft

In this session we’ll start with the basics, discussing the practices of DevOps and then move into discussing automated operations that developers and operations teams can control. We will then deploy a new solution into the cloud using DevOps Project, showing how you can automate the deployment of an application and integrate it into Azure DevOps.

11:50  12:35 BST Developing together with Visual Studio Online – Giles Davies, Microsoft

Visual Studio Online (no, not VSTS/Azure DevOps, this is something new reusing the name) provides hosted development environments to make this easier and faster. This session will introduce the new Visual Studio Online and demonstrate how it can be used from Visual Studio Code and the Visual Studio IDE.

14:00 – 14:45 BST Rearchitecting for Azure. A smarter way to deploy – Justin Davies, Microsoft

Adopting the Cloud on its own isn’t enough, you need to know how to harness this enabler to really help you work more quickly and more efficiently at scale. In this session we will go through exactly how you can utilise Azure to achieve your goals faster in a more agile way, to drive business outcomes.

Providing an overview of Azure Data Services and showcasing the technical capabilities of Azure assessment and migration tools such as for SQL Server to Azure SQL database.

Microsoft: Microsoft Update Staging Lab

This session gives an Introduction to the Update Staging Lab – an Azure service that enables accelerated ISV joint application testing, validation and issues remediation with Microsoft on updates prior to release in market. This service would give you application insights that enable you provide evergreen support on your customer applications, manage your costs for testing and run automated tests in the cloud when they are available/due.

Microsoft: Microsoft Power Platform
