New antivirus engine within Kerio Control and Kerio Connect 9.2.2

Today Kerio Technologies, which has recently been acquired by GFI Software, has announced the release of Kerio Control and Kerio Connect 9.2.2 that now includes an antivirus option to provide users with powerful protection against cyber security threats.
After carrying market research and testing, Kerio antivirus will be now be powered by Bitdefender which ensure quicker reactions to new threats and fast scans.
- March 23, 2017 – 9.2.2 release with Kerio Antivirus powered by Bitdefender in all new installations.
– When upgrading to or installing 9.2.2, Bitdefender will be the antivirus engine.
– Sophos will continue to operate on installations running earlier versions of the product. - March 28, 2018* – Sophos antivirus engine in all deployments will no longer receive updates. This affects installations running version 9.2.1 and earlier of Kerio Control and Kerio Connect.
Kerio Connect is a cross-platform email, calendar and content management multiple domain web server.
Kerio Control is a a unified threat firewall.
